On Friday 28/02/2025, on the anniversary of the Tempi tragedy, demonstrations are being organized throughout Greece and abroad with union strikes and large citizen participation.

Multiple protest rallies in 264 cities in Greece and 125 abroad are taking place on Friday 28/02/2025, two years after the Tempi railway tragedy.

I have no oxygen

Large gatherings in the central squares of many cities throughout Greece and abroad took place on Sunday, January 26, 2025, for the Tempi railway accident of 2023. Greeks in Greece and abroad gave a resounding “presence” in many solidarity gatherings with a demand for justice. In Brussels and Strasbourg, the protest rallies took place on Saturday, January 25. In Italy, the protest rallies took place on Sunday, January 26, 2025 in Milan, Piazza Borromeo 6 at 10.30 a.m. and in Reggio Calabria, Rotonda 8 Marzo at 11:00 a.m.

This talk points at two leverage points that we have to achieve rapid and transformative change that is demanded by reality: 1) an injection of systemic level education and 2) advocacy for laws that are properly informed by science.

Olive Oil Tasting

The JRC Hellenic Culture Group is organizing an olive oil tasting event, which will take place at the JRC Clubhouse on Friday 03 March 2023 at 18.00, Sala Ginestre (ground floor).

The tasting will take place with the help of a trained expert. The event aims to train participants to determine the quality of the oil, i.e. whether it is extra virgin, virgin or lower quality and to detect any defects or off-flavors.

Vasilopita 2023

The JRC Hellenic Culture group organizes an event on Tuesday 31 January 2023 at 18:00 to celebrate the beginning of the year 2023. During this event we will cut and share the traditional Vasilopita (a sweet bread served in Greece on New Year’s Day).
