The JRC Hellenic Culture group celebrates the beginning of the year 2018 by sharing the traditional Vasilopita (a sweet bread served in Greece on New Year’s Day).
Vasilopita is one of the most prominent Greek traditions on New Year’s Day. It is also known as the New Year’s Day cake, which contains a hidden coin which gives good luck to the receiver. The cake is divvied up so that everyone receives a slice. The event took place in the Clubhouse’s restaurant area
in the evening of 21st February 2018 at 18.30. The cake was made at the JRC Clubhouse’s kitchen.
